Went from a cheap drip machine to a manual pour-over setup last month
Honestly, I used to just press a button on my $20 Mr. Coffee every morning and hope for the best. The coffee always tasted burnt or watery, but I figured that was just how coffee was. Then my buddy Jake let me try his Hario V60 at his place in Austin last month, and I swear it was like a different drink altogether. I spent around $40 on the whole setup - the dripper, filters, and a gooseneck kettle - and now I actually weigh my beans to 18 grams every morning. It takes about 5 minutes longer, but the flavor is so much cleaner. Anyone else made the switch from auto drip to manual and notice a huge difference?
