Showerthought: found out espresso has less caffeine per cup than drip and it kinda blew my mind
I was reading a thing on a roaster's site in Seattle while waiting for my order and it said a shot of espresso is around 60 to 70mg of caffeine but a 12oz cup of drip is more like 120 to 160mg. I always assumed the little intense cup had more in it, and I've been drinking doubles at 4pm like an idiot because of it. Maybe it's just me but I think the taste makes it feel stronger than it is. Is there a good rule you all use for cutting off caffeine in the afternoon, or do you just go by how your body feels?
Notice this same thing with beer too, the strong tasting stuff isn't always the strong stuff. Going by feel is the only rule that's ever worked for me, since the numbers never match how wired I actually get.
