inMy brother told me to use a hair dryer on a dent in my car door
That whole "life hack" thing feels like a trap sometimes. People see a 30 second clip of something working once and treat it like a fix for everything. It reminds me of the "put a dented bumper in hot water" myth. Those tricks only work on very specific plastic parts, not metal doors. You probably just heated up the paint and the glue under it, which isn't great. A real dent puller kit is like twenty bucks and actually works on metal.

inSwitched to using LED candles after a wax mess on set
It's wild how we keep putting these super bright LEDs in everything now. My mom's new fridge has this crazy panel that looks like a spaceship control board. The coffee maker at work blinks error codes in morse code if you look at it wrong. Feels like we traded simple, reliable stuff for these complicated light shows that break in the weirdest ways. The tech is supposed to be smart, but it acts pretty dumb when it fails.

inMy bathroom fan stopped working, so I tried two ways to fix it.
That plastic duct traps moisture and kills the motor, so replacing it first saves money.

inI finally got a paint gun to spray backwards
Cleaned the needle seat with some thinner and a q tip, that usually fixes it. Had the same thing happen last month and it was just a tiny bit of dried clear blocking it.

inSpent $800 on a new pump impeller and it was worth every penny
Oh man, I know that feeling exactly. I put off replacing the hydraulic pump on my old backhoe for way too long, just patching it up. Finally dropped the cash on a new unit last fall. It was like getting a whole new machine, the power came back instantly. That kind of fix hurts the wallet up front but saves you so much headache and lost work.
