Is this a trend in your shops too? I'm getting lots of calls for that shabby chic look on new furniture. How do you guys fake the wear without it looking cheap?
I was putting shellac on a table when she came over. She asked if it was the same stuff used in candy apples, and it got weird. What's the most off-base comment you've gotten about your work?
Just brew some strong coffee, let the grounds dry, and rub them into the wood. It adds a warm, aged color that looks totally natural.
