Pro tip: I used to dread stump removal until I switched from a 4-inch to an 8-inch grinder wheel.

Oh man, telling me about it. That switch is like going from a hand shovel to a backhoe, no joke. Fiona_scott44's comment about digging holes by hand really hits home, because using a regular drill on deck screws felt like that kind of old-school pain. My first deck project I didn't have an impact driver and my whole arm would be buzzing for an hour after. Now it's just a quick brrrrt and the screw is buried. It feels like cheating, but the good kind.

Spent $60 on a Midjourney subscription and it totally changed my view

Spend sixty bucks and a whole weekend just to type words at a bot. That's wild to me. It's still a computer making the picture, not you. Calling it a skill feels like a stretch when you're just asking for things in different ways. I get it can be fun to mess with, but changing your whole view seems like a lot for a fancy search bar.

My station went from a mess to organized after I started using a 'mise en place' timer.

Honestly, that timer trick is a game changer. I started doing it to see how fast I could get everything chopped and measured before the beep. It turns a boring setup into a little race against yourself. The hard part is not getting so into it that you rush and slice a finger off. But yeah, winning that tiny game makes starting dinner way less of a chore.

I finally watched the first season of Severance in one weekend

People call it slow because they're used to shows that explain everything upfront. Severance makes you figure out the rules as you go, same as the characters. That's not slow, it's just not holding your hand.

Showerthought: I was cutting my drywall sheets wrong for years

That crumbly edge thing is the worst.
