Just realized that $18 tube of silicone saved my tub, not the $400 plumber quote
Two years back I was ready to pay a plumber $400 to reseal my leaking shower base, then my neighbor in Reno talked me into a plain tube of 100% silicone for $18. That bead is still holding water with zero drips, and I keep thinking about the day I almost wrote that check. What is the cheapest fix you have done that outlasted the fancy option?
