Checked back two seasons later and the painted ones had way less rot starting inside the wound. Still not for every cut, but I have a can in my truck now for the right situation. Anyone else found a use for it on specific species or just in wet areas?

I had to choose between putting up a 4 foot or a 6 foot welded wire fence around my new chicken run. I went with the 4 foot because it was cheaper and easier for me to see over and reach into. After a year, I haven't lost a single bird to a predator, and my heavy Buff Orpingtons don't even try to fly over it. The key was adding a 2 foot wide apron of hardware cloth on the ground around the outside to stop digging. Has anyone else found a shorter fence works fine with certain breeds?

I was at the Seattle Public Library yesterday and a kid told his friend that coding is just typing words into a computer. His dad then explained it's more like giving the computer a very clear set of steps, like a recipe. That stuck with me because I've been stuck on a project for two weeks trying to make a simple to-do list. I was just typing code I didn't get. Now I'm going back to write out the steps in plain English first, like 'show the list' and 'add new item'. Has anyone else tried writing the steps out before coding?
