Took me 6 weeks to figure out my grocery store marks down meat at 8am on Tuesdays
I kept showing up after work and finding nothing but full price chicken, until a stocker in the apron finally clued me in. Now I grab a $12 pack of thighs for $4.50 and freeze half. Anyone else cracked the code on their store's markdown schedule?
Check the sell by dates on the packs you find, they usually mark down whatever expires first so Tuesday mornings are gold. Grab the ones with a day or two left and cook or freeze them that same day.
