Spent 3 hours on a dead NES because I forgot the power brick was switched to 240v
Found a beat up NES at a flea market in Akron and it powered on fine, until I moved it to my second outlet and it went dead silent. Turned out the replacement brick I grabbed from a bin said 240v on the back in tiny letters, took me 3 hours and two forum posts before I flipped it over. Anyone else get burned by junk power supplies they never inspected?
