My lemon bars were a brick at the block party

Took my lemon bars to the neighborhood gathering, thinking they'd be a hit. They came out so dense you could barely bite them, and my neighbor's kid asked if they were building blocks. Ever have a bake go so wrong it made a whole crowd quiet?

I finally sketched my whole new line from my apartment, and my team is split on the method.

Last season, I decided to do all my initial fashion drawings at home instead of the studio. I found I could think clearer without the constant buzz and interruptions from others. My lead designer argues that being in the same room lets us swap swatches and build on each other's ideas instantly. A couple coworkers miss the quick feedback and say the shared space fuels creativity. On the flip side, some team members say they get more done with flexible schedules and quiet time. I personally finished a full set of designs I love, all from my living room. But now I'm second-guessing if working alone makes our final products feel disconnected. What's your take? Is in-person teamwork better for fashion design, or does remote work offer enough?

Dull red heat for handles gives me better results than the usual bright orange

Everyone in my class was taught to fuse handles when the glass is at its hottest point. I learned through practice that a cooler, dull red heat makes for a stronger bond. Letting the main body cool a bit before joining reduces stress and avoids cracks. My pieces now hold up without any joint issues after this change.
