Actually, a good digital thermometer makes a bigger difference for most home cooks. Scales are great for baking, but nailing the internal temp on meats is what really changes results. Overcooked chicken or dry pork chops happen way more often than measuring issues. Once you start checking temps instead of guessing, everything comes out perfect.
