inThat near miss on a jobsite in Houston changed everything about my rigging checks
Don't you think that one near miss is worth changing your whole approach to safety checks?

inTook me 3 tries to pick between stick and flux core for this boiler job
Been through three different masts in six years before I found one that actually stays put. The wind around here shifts direction twice a day and it's brutal on hardware. Finally switched to a heavy duty stainless setup with a tension kit and it's been solid for eight months now. Sometimes you just have to accept that the cheap stuff isn't worth the headache.

inWarning: Don't try to fix a 1989 Mac SE logic board with a regular soldering iron
That's a rough situation @tarab54. I've been there with a cheap iron and an old laptop, ended up lifting a tiny pad completely off the board. Had to spend twice as much on a decent station just to fix my mistake. Hope you have better luck than I did.

inCan we talk about hitting 1,000 feet of tube on one job? Didn't think it would happen
My brother got obsessed with tracking his steps a couple years ago, hit 5 million total before he got bored of it. I do the same thing with my garden - I carved a notch for every tomato plant I've put in the ground, and I'm at 487 now. It's just nice having a number that SHOWS the work instead of having to explain it.

inI chose the GPS shortcut over the main highway yesterday
Does that actually work in the boonies with no paved roads?
