I thought grocery store loyalty apps were a scam until I did the math on my milk runs
For 8 months I refused to download the Kroger app because I figured the "digital coupons" were just a way for them to track me and the deals were fake. Then my wife started scanning hers at the register in front of me at the store on Hamilton Road and I watched her total drop from $84 to $61 on the same cart of stuff. I finally caved in March and after 6 weeks my own receipts show I'm paying about $22 less per trip on the same items, mostly from the weekly digital deals on meat and cereal. The tracking thing still bugs me a little but I can't argue with $22. Has anyone figured out if the fuel points or the digital coupons give you more back each month?
