Dude that janitor was probably the ghost trying to scare you off from the real stuff.

inRant: I spent $400 on a sewer scope inspection and it saved me from a total nightmare
Got a neighbor who bought a brand new house and found out the plumbing was backwards in half the bathrooms. @carr.willow is right - even with a warranty, getting someone to come fix it took months of phone calls. Better to catch things before you move in than deal with the headache later.

inHad a tool holder slip on a Haas VF-2 last Tuesday
I had a holder slip on a heavy roughing job too. Shrink fit holders fixed it for me, they hold way tighter than collets at high rpm.

inCustomer told me my seams were too tight - changed everything
OH NO WAY. That's totally backwards from what I've always heard! Like, my sewing teacher in high school would've fainted if she saw me leaving a 5/8th seam loose lol. She always said tight seams equal strong seams especially on denim or heavy fabrics. But wait, does this mean I've been making my jeans wrong all these years? I literally just finished a pair with the tightest seams possible and now I'm wondering if that's why the crotch always blows out.
