That Saturday where my offer got rejected 3 times in one day
I was looking at a house in Austin that seemed perfect, 3 bedrooms with a big yard. First offer got beat by cash, second one they countered way too high, third one I just walked away from. Real estate agent told me “this market is brutal right now, you gotta move faster.” Has anyone else had a day where nothing goes right with offers?

Yeah, Sean, that part about "this market is straight up garbage" really hit me. I used to be one of those people who thought if you just worked harder or saved more you'd get what you wanted, but that Saturday changed my whole view on it. You can do everything right and still get crushed by cash buyers or sellers who ask for the moon, and there's no fixing that with effort lol. It's like the system is broken for regular folks, not for lack of trying. Still stings every time I think about it tbh.

Is your agent actually working for you? That sounds rough, man. Three rejections in one day is brutal. I had a similar thing happen last fall. Put in a solid offer, got outbid by someone paying cash. Next place I tried, seller wanted an extra 20k for no reason. Then the third one I just gave up on. This market is straight up garbage right now. You're not alone in feeling this. Hope you find something better soon.
