inMy buddy Mark from work made me question everything about 9/11 truthers.
Having an engineer actually explain the floor truss failure sequence changed my whole view too.

Respectfully disagree, square nails were still common up to the early 1900s.

inI saw a big change in how people talk about money online over the past few years
Wait, did you say back then? @nancys90 I mean, I can't believe how much older the old posters sound compared to what I see now. It's like a totally different crowd, almost feels like two separate forums sometimes.

inOld timer at a farm auction told me I was ruining my end mills
That old timer was right, I learned the hard way too and now wrap each one in a shop rag.

inI finally negotiated my internet bill down by $30 a month just by calling and asking
Yeah but you gotta watch the fine print on that. Usually when you call in and get a discount, they make you sign a new contract for like 12 or 24 months. So if you try to switch providers later or move, you might get hit with an early termination fee that eats up all that savings. A buddy of mine saved $25 a month on his TV package but didn't realize they locked him into a two year term with a $200 penalty for leaving early. Then he had to move for work six months in and it cost him more than he saved. So just make sure you ask if there's a contract attached before you agree to anything.
