That $140 tablet pen holder combo was a total bust for my desk setup
Paid $140 for a fancy magnetic pen holder and stand last September, but it kept sliding off my aluminum desk and now the pen lives in a coffee mug like it's 2015, anyone else ditch the fancy gear and go back to basics?

Man, what made you finally call it quits on the holder? Was it the sliding thing that did it or did the magnet itself start to crap out on you? I keep almost pulling the trigger on one of those magnetic setups but I always stop because my desk is aluminum too and I had a bad feeling about how they grip. Did you try sticking anything under it first, like a pad or some tape, or did you just get fed up and toss it in a drawer?
