A guy at the gas station in Bakersfield told me his dashcam caught a figure walking into the desert at 3 AM, and now I can't stop looking for that clip.

He said he was reviewing footage from a late delivery run and saw a tall, thin shape step off the shoulder and vanish into the dark, and he deleted it because it freaked him out, but I wish he hadn't.

Okay, this security cam clip from a gas station in Bakersfield is making me side-eye every shadow in my house now.

The time stamp says 3:17 AM, and something that looks like a person, but way too tall and thin, just walks straight through the closed bay door. It's not a reflection or a glitch, the thing moves behind the counter. Has anyone seen anything else from that area? It's freaking me out.

It caught what looked like a person, but the way it moved... all wrong, like it was gliding. Has anyone else seen something like that from a camera out there?

Rant: I had to pick between deleting a weird video or keeping it for proof

Found a clip on an old hard drive from a rest stop camera I used to have in my rig. It showed something moving in the woods behind the truck, but the quality was bad. I could either delete it to save space or keep the file. I kept it, and after showing it to a buddy, he pointed out the shape didn't match any animal we know around there. Has anyone else held onto a video that just gets weirder the more you look?

I figured out a way to spot the real found footage from the fake stuff

I was going down a rabbit hole on a video from a guy exploring an old factory in Detroit. It looked real, but something felt off. I started checking the video file data using a free tool called MediaInfo. The original upload said it was from 2005, but the file's metadata showed it was made in 2022 with a modern camera codec. That was the giveaway. Now I always download a copy and check the data before I get too deep into a video. Has anyone else found a good trick to check if a video's date is real?

Watched the 'Mackinac Bridge Walk' clip 50 times before I saw the thing in the water

I was so focused on the group of people on the bridge arguing that I missed the dark shape moving against the current below them for weeks. It only clicked when someone in a YouTube comment pointed out the timestamp at 1:47, and now I can't unsee it. Has anyone else gone over that footage and caught that detail?

I was reading a forum thread about that 'Third Man Factor' thing in survival stories

Someone mentioned it might explain a lot of the 'shadow person' footage people post here, like the ones from abandoned hospitals. They said the brain under stress can make you see or feel a presence that isn't there. It made me look at those videos differently. I watched that famous 'Mel's Hole' clip again, where the guy films something moving in the dark pit. Could that just be his mind filling in blanks? What's a video you've seen that could be explained by a trick of the mind instead of something paranormal?
