Tried a different post hole digger on a rocky lot in Boise

My neighbor in Eagle had the same problem with river rock. He ended up renting a small jackhammer with a spade bit to break up the ground first. It made a huge mess but got through the worst of it. After that, he used a standard post hole digger to clear out the loose material. It was a two-step process, but the posts are solid and haven't moved in three years.

My client's rosacea flare-ups basically vanished after 90 days of this one thing

Isn't it funny how we're always told to add something new to fix a problem, instead of just taking the simpler thing away? You see this everywhere, @amy858, not just with food. Like when a room feels cluttered, the first idea is to buy more storage bins instead of just getting rid of stuff you don't use. Your example about the cheese and cream is exactly that kind of thinking. It's easier to sell people on adding a product than it is to tell them to stop something that's already a habit. Makes you wonder why our default is always more, not less.

I always thought pressure treated posts were the only way to go for a long life

That study at the university supply house made me second guess my concrete habit too.

Got called out for a salvage job on the Columbia River last Tuesday and it went sideways fast.

Damn, what was Mike's hand signal for "panic"?

Pro tip: A client in Chicago told me to never cut my rates, even when work is slow.

Wow, I totally used to think lowering prices was smart during slow times. This post actually changed my mind on that.
