Or how meetings magically fill whatever time you give them, so you cap them at 30 minutes and somehow get the same work done. Same deal with your movie nights: the limit forces people to actually pick something good instead of just grabbing whatever. My group does something close to this, we cap it at 100 minutes and the vibe is way better. Your mileage may vary depending on the group, but in my experience limits make people more creative, not less.
