Why would you trust a dial setting over your own tastebuds every single morning?

Man, I felt this one in my soul. I heard on a podcast once that the "rules lawyer" type is like the number one killer of game nights, and honestly that tracks with what I have seen. The tricky part is that the person usually knows the rules well enough to sound right, so everyone just goes along with it until it is too late. From what I have read, the fix is to decide before you start that the rulebook is the final word and nobody gets to argue with it mid game, even if they swear they read a FAQ somewhere. Your mileage may vary but that small ground rule has saved a few of my sessions.

Man, that fear of ruining the coating is so real. I had a old boss drill the same thing into my head about heat and lens elements, so I get why you sat on that trick for so long.
