inFound out my school's 4 year grad rate is 43 percent and nobody brings it up at tours
Checked mine after reading this and yeah, 47 percent. I always assumed the number was way higher because everyone talks about how good the school is. I figured the people who dropped out were just a few kids who partied too hard or switched to community college, not half the class. Seeing it in black and white made me realize the tours are basically a sales pitch. They show you the lazy river and the smoothie bar because that stuff sells, not because it tells you anything real. Now I want to know where all those people go and why nobody at orientation ever said a word about it.

inWatched a new guy safety wire a fuel line in 40 minutes, now he does it in 6
Did he ever tell you what made him finally stop fighting the wire and start working with it? I ask because everybody talks about the practice reps and the better tool, but nobody brings up the pause. In my shop the thing that sped guys up was learning to let the pliers spin free once the twist grabbed instead of clamping down harder. Sounds like Marcus found that same feel, and once your hands trust the wire to hold, you quit hesitating on every turn. Six minutes isn't fast hands, it's zero wasted motion. Bet he can't even explain what he does different now.

Rant: I spent 3 nights stuck in one Elden Ring boss, then turned off the damage numbers and beat him in 2 tries
Yeah I did the same thing with the tree sentinel at the start and felt like a genius until I realized I'd just been staring at a health bar instead of the giant horse trying to kill me. It's like reading the menu at a restaurant while your food gets cold, you're so busy checking the numbers that you forget to actually eat. Taking the HUD off forces you to play the game instead of playing the spreadsheet.
