inFound a perfectly good office chair in the alley behind my apartment in Denver
Are you really telling me you've passed on perfectly good finds just because of a little dirt? Look, I get it, some stuff is just too far gone with rust or broken parts you can't fix. But a lot of times people throw away things that just need a good scrub and a coat of paint. I say if the basic bones of it are solid, like no major cracks or rot, then it's worth the elbow grease. @the_amy is right about dust being the biggest liar out there. You just gotta look past the grime and see if the shape and material are still good.

inFaced a choice between starting 'Severance' or 'The Bear' this weekend. Went with 'Severance' and binged the whole thing in one sitting.
Start with the finale. That wall staring thing you mentioned is exactly where I ended up too. But I gotta gently push back on the work-life separation part. The show isn't really about that. It's about work being your whole life, period. There's no separation to even talk about when you're literally trapped in an office and your only memories are from your job. My biggest what the heck moment was when they revealed the goats in the break room. Like, why goats? No explanation, just goats wandering around. That whole scene made me feel like I missed a meeting about a very important goat policy.

inShoutout to the old timer who told me to stop rushing my sprues
Hear that loud and clear. I've had so many projects where I thought I was saving time by rushing through the setup, only to have the whole thing fail or need a do-over. That extra ten minutes on the pattern is exactly the kind of thing you don't appreciate until you've messed up a piece you really cared about. It's rough when you look back and realize the hurry cost you way more than the time you saved. Your door story hurts to hear, but honestly it's so relatable.

inSpent 8 months doing extractions wrong in my Chicago studio
Right, because who needs to question a decades-old pasta salting technique when you can just blame the water quality instead lol. It's almost like our brains have a default setting of "this is fine" until someone pops the bubble with a KonMari video or a dermatologist YouTube clip. Honestly, a little outside perspective is just the universe's way of saying "your grandma was wrong about that one thing, and that's okay.

inTIL stacking filters can ruin your moon photos
Honestly learned this the hard way too. Moon looked like a smudge.
