My uncle tried to fix a bubbly paint job on his boat by just adding more paint on top. Made a total mess, like a weird orange peel texture all over. Ended up costing him way more to have a pro strip it and start over. Sometimes the fix is worse than the first mistake.

How do you keep the colored thread from fraying or looking messy on the spine? I tried that once with some waxed linen and it just bunched up weird. Maybe my tension was off.
