Stop blaming the filters and look at what is actually going on with your setup. A muddy orange blob usually means the filter is doing its job by blocking light, but your camera settings and stacking are not keeping up with the dimmer image. Cheap kits do cut quality, but a $70 set can still work if you fix your exposure and learn how to process the data properly.

Sniffing three bags at the farmers market is a lot, man. Weighing beans every morning like a scientist is fine and all, but does it actually taste that much better than the $6 can?
