inMy uncle told me to never buy a comic for its cover back in 2019
Ugh, did the same thing with a super shiny Spider-Man #1 from a few years back. I mean, it looked so cool in the shop, but the story was just a boring rehash. I used to grab anything with a fancy cover, but now I flip through and read a page or two first. That cheap, old issue of Moon Knight I found is way better.

inA little trick for getting a stuck 6.0 Powerstroke oil cooler out
An air hammer on an oil cooler housing sounds absolutely terrifying! You must have nerves of steel to try that on a delicate part. I would have been so scared of cracking the whole thing. That's a wild trick, but I'm glad it worked for you without any damage.

inHot take: I used to think a 3/8 drive was fine for everything on a 6.7 Powerstroke.
Yeah, that "right tool for the real stubborn stuff" is the whole lesson. You can get by with 3/8 for a lot, but why fight it? Once you feel that 1/2 inch gun not even hesitate, you just stop questioning the upgrade.

inTIL a ranger in Yosemite said the best time for the Mist Trail is after 4 PM
Did you see that article about how the light changes in the late afternoon on that part of the trail? It made the same point about the colors in the mist. I might have to try a later start next time, because fighting the morning rush is honestly kind of miserable. Getting some space to actually enjoy the view sounds way better.

inAppreciation post: I just realized I've visited over 50 abandoned places in the last decade
Actually, keeping a simple list is the opposite of a second job. It takes two minutes to jot down a name and date, and then you actually remember the trip later. That feels way more relaxing than losing the memory completely.
