inOverheard a guy at the trailhead say his new sleeping bag was 'too warm' for summer
That's a solid point from @lisa839 about buying for the worst case. It feels like the same logic behind always carrying a rain jacket, just in case. Getting caught without the right gear is the worst.

inVent: I fixed a dead 2016 Dell laptop by baking the motherboard, which feels totally wrong but it worked
Baked a dead Xbox 360 motherboard in my oven once, same deal. Stripped it down, used foil on the sensitive bits, and prayed. Got another six months out of it before it red-ringed for good. Sometimes the proper fix just isn't worth the cost for the customer, so you go with the kitchen reflow. It's a hack, but it gets them running for a bit.

inSpent 3 hours yesterday because I forgot a single semicolon
Yeah that missing comma thing @the_luna is the worst. The parser just gets lost and points to a random spot later. Now I always check the actual line it shows, then scan backwards for any simple syntax errors first.

inOverheard a client say they'd never click a 'Learn More' button
My buddy's startup changed their main button from "Get Started" to "Try It Free" last month. Their sign-ups went up by like 40 percent. Just that one word change.
