Warning: I still think physical buttons beat touchscreens on most gadgets

Just got my old multimeter fixed instead of buying a new touchscreen one. Most reviews say touch is better, but I can use this with work gloves on during jobs. Three years in, it still gives perfect readings, which feels like a win when everyone's sleek gadgets fail.

Just realized how a misheard shout turned into a kitchen story we still tell

Back in my early days, kitchens were so loud you had to yell to be heard. During a crazy rush, the sous chef called for 'all hands on deck,' but I heard 'all pans in check.' I started nervously inspecting every skillet on the line while tickets piled up. Everyone cracked up once they figured out my confusion. It's funny to think how much quieter places are now with headset comms, but those silly moments really brought the crew together.

Actually, I've found low heat can make warping worse. It heats a bigger area slowly, which lets the panel bend. A short, hot focus on just the dent works better for me. Lets you fix the spot without cooking the whole sheet.

Most cafe Wi-Fi networks handle more than 20 devices at once. Uploading a video takes a huge amount of data from that shared connection. This can make the net slow or drop for everyone, not just you. Their internet service is usually meant for light stuff like checking email. So it's not about broken promises, it's about how shared Wi-Fi works. For big uploads, you really need a private, stronger connection.
