I was cutting out a bad section on a pressure vessel and had my oxygen set wrong for the steel grade. It made a huge mess of slag and warped the edge pretty bad. Now I test on a scrap piece first to dial in the flame. That extra minute keeps the cut clean and ready for welding.
Watched it happen on a job. Do you call it out for safety or keep quiet to avoid trouble?
