TIL why proper torch adjustment saves hours on a job
I was cutting out a bad section on a pressure vessel and had my oxygen set wrong for the steel grade. It made a huge mess of slag and warped the edge pretty bad. Now I test on a scrap piece first to dial in the flame. That extra minute keeps the cut clean and ready for welding.
Yeah, keeping hope under wraps is a REAL struggle. Life throws so much junk at you that it feels safer to lock it away. I feel you, and it's okay to protect that part of yourself.
