inHot take: I was wrong about password managers being too much hassle
Remember when we all just used "password123"?

inSo I dropped $40 on a 'smart' plant pot that texts you when it needs water
Right? @amymartinez My grandma does the same thing! I still use a meter for my fussy plants though, some of them are so dramatic about being dry.

inVent: My laptop charger died in a tiny town in Laos last month
Holding the cord at that weird angle for hours sounds awful. I used to think I could just wing it with tech on trips, but a story like yours and @the_james agreeing changed my mind. What do you pack as a backup now?

inRant: I used to glue my headbands with PVA and wonder why they cracked
Oh man, the PVA struggle is real. I was out here treating it like craft glue for a solid year, just globbing it on. My headbands looked like they had a bad case of dandruff from all the dried, flaky bits. Finally watched a video where someone mixed it like paint and felt like a total clown. The thin layers actually soak in instead of just sitting on top like a weird plastic shell.

inBought a $40 rubber duck to debug my code and it actually worked.
Hold up, you're blaming the duck? That's a skill issue. The fancy duck is a professional tool, it's supposed to judge you. That silent stare is the pressure you need to find your own dumb mistakes. The rubber chicken just gives you empty praise, no standards at all. You paid for a code reviewer, not a yes-man.
