A new one runs way more than that, so when you buy used you are rolling the dice on how the last guy treated it. Twenty minutes of run time on a motor that old could just mean it was already on its way out before you got it. Seller going quiet is a bummer but that is how marketplace works, no warranty, no returns. Next time test it in the parking lot before you hand over cash, run it for five minutes and listen for anything weird.
