inTIL the tiny screws in a Canon AE-1 are JIS, not Phillips, and that's why I stripped three of them
Grinding down a Phillips tip works fine, been doing it for years on old Hondas and never had an issue. Honestly the whole JIS thing is overblown, half the screws you'll strip anyway just from age and rust.

inWhy does nobody talk about the 2-week notice trap in retail?
Yeah that's the part people always sleep on. Getting walked out doesn't mean they get out of paying you for the shift you showed up for. Idk, maybe it's just me but that's worth a quick call to your state labor board.

inAm I the only one who thinks slowing down on the swing is safer than the book's way?
The half second thing isn't really the swing slowing down, it's you taking the whip out of it. Tagline guys get hurt when the load gets ahead of the boom and then snaps back, and that snap comes from speed, not from easing off. But you still have to keep enough control to steer it, so it's more about a steady hand than going slow. A 4,000 pound panel at the end of a long line will do whatever the boom tells it to, so the fix is smooth stops and starts, not creeping.
