I used to think curb finds were just junk until I spotted a solid oak dresser last week
It was sitting out in the rain on Maple Street, looking pretty sad. I almost drove past, but my neighbor helped me load it. We dried it off, sanded it down, and it cleaned up perfectly. Now it's in my guest room, and I'm totally converted to checking every pile. What's the best piece of furniture you've ever rescued?

Maple Street finds are the best kind of treasure hunt.

Man, I swear some people throw away perfectly good stuff just because they got tired of looking at it. I snagged a mid-century end table off the curb last fall that had a busted leg and some water rings, but a little wood glue and sandpaper later, it's my favorite piece in the living room. Makes me wonder what else I've been driving past all these years.

Got a solid wood coffee table someone left next to a dumpster. One leg was wobbly and it was covered in sticky drink rings. Took it home, tightened the screws, and gave it a good scrub. Looks brand new now and I feel like I robbed a bank every time I look at it.
