Found a perfectly good leather armchair in the rain last Tuesday

I was driving home from a job in the West End and saw it sitting on the curb in a downpour. It was a big, brown leather chair, just a little damp on one arm. I threw a moving blanket over it and got it in the truck. Dried it off with a fan for a day and now it's the best seat in my living room. Anyone else ever rescue furniture that looked too good to leave behind?
