PSA: That $200 budget stock scanner I bought actually paid off in one trade

I spent $200 on a stock scanner from Trade Ideas last month, and it flagged a breakout on a small biotech stock before my usual methods would have caught it. I made $500 on that single trade, netting $300 after the subscription cost. But now I'm wondering if this was just beginner's luck or if I should stick with the paid tool over free scanners like Finviz. Anyone else had a paid finance tool actually earn its keep or was it a total waste?

Yeah man the Trade Ideas scanner is legit, it paid for itself really fast for me too.

Fair enough, but I gotta say my experience was the total opposite. I gave it a solid try for a few months and it just felt like noise to me, too many alerts that didn't really lead anywhere. Might work better for some play styles, but for mine it was more of a distraction than an edge.

Sounds like the same issue I see with smart home stuff. Everyone I know has it set up different and half the time their lights are flashing at them for no reason.
