inSwapped from tap water to distilled for my film developer and wow what a difference
Huh, that's weird but makes sense in a way. It's like when you buy organic dish soap and suddenly your glasses don't rinse clean. Sometimes the basic stuff with a few minerals in it works better than the pure version.

inMy automatic chicken door failed at 3am and a raccoon got in
Woke up at 4am one morning to find the neighbor's dog had figured out the latched on my garbage can. Spent the next hour chasing that mutt around the block in my bathrobe with a flashlight. The worst part wasn't even the mess. It was trying to explain to the neighbor why I was shouting at her golden retriever at dawn. Sometimes the simplest fixes end up being the most embarrassing ones. They sell magnetic locks for those chicken coop doors now, and I swear I'd use one if I still kept birds.

inThat customer who argued his PC was fine but it had 14 malware infections
Man honestly I feel this so hard. The guy who brought in his laptop claiming it was "just a little slow" but I found 8 browser toolbars and a crypto miner running in the background didn't even blink when I showed him the task manager. It's like people think malware is just a myth until their bank account gets drained or their computer literally stops working. Had one lady tell me her computer was fine because she only used it for Facebook and email like those are somehow immune to infections. Tbh the denial phase is almost always the longest part of the job for me.

inOverheard a realtor say something at an open house that made me rethink pre-approvals
My buddy learned this the hard way. He got pre-approved in March, was house hunting for months, and by the time he found a place in late June the bank wanted to pull his credit again. The realtor was nice about it but basically said yeah that pre-approval letter is worthless now. He lost out on two houses because sellers wanted someone with a fresh pre-approval. Then he had to reapply and his score dropped a few points from the hard pull. Really frustrating situation that could've been avoided if he just waited like the agent suggested.

inAI art failure made me rethink my whole process
Yeah the raindrops going sideways thing drove me crazy too. What finally worked for me was adding "wet fur clinging to body" and "puddles forming under paws" to the prompt, like spelling out the consequences of the rain instead of just saying rain. Have you tried describing the after effects of the physics rather than the physics itself?
