Am I the only one who switched from sandpaper to a card scraper on old furniture?
I used to burn through 60 and 120 grit on every goodwill dresser I dragged home, and the dust in my garage in Akron was unreal. Then a guy at the flea market handed me a $6 piece of old saw blade and showed me how to roll a burr on it, and now I barely touch sandpaper on flat panels at all. It's faster and the surface actually takes stain even, which I never got with the orbital. What do you all use to keep the edge fresh, a file or just a burnisher?
