My fermented radishes got ruined from tap water in the brine
Honestly, I filled the jar with plain tap water without a second thought. Tbh, the chlorine killed all the good bacteria so the radishes never started bubbling. Ngl, after three days they just smelled weird and slimy. Always use water without chlorine, like filtered or boiled and cooled, for your brine.

My spider plant was basically a crisp for months until I tried that. Turns out my tap water is just chemical soup. Val_henderson is onto something with the bottled water thing. My plant is now putting out new leaves like it's trying to make up for lost time. Never thought I'd be buying water for a plant.
