Question about a phantom door lock fault on a 2008 Kone MonoSpace

Spent 6 hours chasing a random door lock fault that turned out to be a single frayed wire strand in the car top harness, which only showed up when the cab was at a specific floor height.

Actually, it's a KONE Monospace, not MonoSpace. Those intermittent faults in the car top are the worst to find. That frayed strand hiding until the cab moves is a classic headache.

That exact thing @anthony127 is talking about feels like a law of the universe. It's the same with a loose wire in a lamp that only flickers when you walk by, or that one squeaky floorboard that goes silent the second you try to find it. The problem always hides the moment you look straight at it, just to mess with you. Makes fixing anything a total guessing game.
