Heads up, if you're drafting from point clouds, the import can take forever and crash your progress.

Man, @wendy674 is totally right about breaking things into chunks. This is just like life, where trying to do everything at once ALWAYS backfires. Taking that extra minute to set things up right saves you hours of pain later.

Forget the software, sometimes the real problem is your computer just being old. Mine sounds like a jet engine if I look at a big file wrong.

That bit about it crashing... it's usually not a full crash, just that it grinds to a complete stop for so long you think it died. The real issue is trying to bring in the entire raw point cloud file at once... it's just too much data for most systems to handle in one go. You get way better results if you clean it up or break it into chunks in the scanning software first. It adds a step, but saves so much headache later when you're actually trying to draw.
