Spent $450 on Facebook ads for a local service business and got zero sales

I ran a targeted campaign for my buddy's pressure washing company in Tampa for 2 weeks, optimized the audience and landing page, but all I got was 12 link clicks from bots. Has anyone else burned cash on Facebook's algorithm and found something that actually works?

Zero sales from 12 clicks" tells me you're probably paying for the wrong thing. Facebook's algorithm will happily optimize for clicks if you set it that way, even if those clicks are bots or window shoppers. You need to switch your campaign to "Conversions" and put the Facebook pixel on your booking page so it learns what a real lead looks like.

lol $450 for 12 bot clicks is basically the Facebook ad starter pack right there. The algorithm loves taking your money and giving you fake traffic if you let it optimize for clicks though. Gotta agree with switching to conversions even if the pixel takes a bit to learn what a real lead actually is. At least you didn't spend double that like my buddy did in Orlando last summer. Just remember the pixel needs a few sales to work so you might have to eat some losses upfront before it figures things out.
