Had a client in Austin last week cancel their whole ad campaign because they didn't understand how targeting works

This guy approved a $3,000 budget for Facebook ads targeting women 25-45 in Texas, then flipped out when he saw impressions from people in Houston instead of just Austin. I spent 3 hours explaining location radius settings and he still sent me a 10 paragraph email complaining about wasted money. Has anyone else had clients who refuse to let you actually do the job you're paid for?

Is it just me or does this kind of thing happen everywhere now? I see it at the grocery store all the time. Someone wants a specific brand of cereal, but they won't let the stocker tell them it's been moved to a different aisle. They'd rather walk back and forth three times than just ask for help. People pay for expertise then decide they know better based on nothing.

Ten paragraphs over location targeting? Unreal.
