My cousin's toddler 'helped' me with my digital painting by adding scribbles with the mouse.

I was showcasing my digital painting to the family when my cousin's toddler grabbed the mouse and added scribbles, and idk, maybe it's just me but it actually made the art more interesting.

That mouse grab would frustrate me so much. It ruins the control and intent behind the original piece. I'd be hitting undo the second I got the mouse back.

Used to think that way... but this changed my mind.

Honestly, those accidental grabs can lead to cool surprises. I've had times where a slip with the mouse created a texture or shape I never would have tried on purpose. It breaks you out of your own habits and can make the work feel more alive. What @derek939 is getting at is that rigid control isn't always the best path. Some of my favorite pieces came from letting go a bit and seeing where the mistakes take you.
