My go-to bleach formula left my client orange after 15 years of no issues
Used my usual 30 volume with Wella Blondor on a regular client last Tuesday. She has level 5 hair and it always lifts to a pale yellow. This time it pulled bright orange in the midsections. Realized I hadn't replaced my developer bottle in 3 months and it probably oxidized. Anyone else have developer go bad faster than they expected?

30 volume oxidizes way faster than that... I switch mine out every 2 weeks just to be safe.

Wait every 2 weeks?? That's insane to me. I've had the same bottle of 30 volume in my bathroom cabinet for like 4 or 5 months now and it still works exactly the same as the day I bought it. I don't think you need to be that paranoid about it oxidizing that fast unless you're leaving the cap off or storing it in direct sunlight or something really hot. Seriously though, you must be spending like a hundred bucks a year just on developer if you're tossing it that often. Maybe you got a bad batch once and now you're just being super careful, but that seems like overkill to me.

Every two weeks? Dang that seems way too fast. I've been using the same bottle of 30 volume for like two months now. Still lifts fine for me. You must be going through a ton of product or something. Or maybe you're storing it in a hot car or something? That would definitely make it go bad quick. Mine just sits in my closet at room temp. Never had an issue.
