Can we talk about what I saw at the county fair pie contest last Saturday?
I watched a judge pick the winning blueberry pie just by smelling it for 2 seconds and then ignored the one with a perfect crust everyone said was better, so now I'm wondering how much of these competitions is rigged by personal bias or secret deals between bakers and judges.

Yeah, it's probably a buddy system. Hard to trust contests anymore, huh?

Wow I totally used to think pie judges were fair but this story changed my whole view on it.
