Pro tip: I chose a local comic shop over a big online order for a key issue.

Needed Amazing Spider-Man #300. Online was cheaper by about 15 bucks. Went with my shop in Tempe instead. Got to chat with the owner and he threw in a free bag and board. Anyone else find the local experience beats the discount sometimes?

Oh totally! I did the same thing hunting down a copy of Uncanny X-Men #266 last month. My guy in Mesa knew I was looking and called me when a clean copy came in. That kind of service just makes the whole hobby more fun, and you're helping keep a cool spot open. The extra few bucks feels worth it.

Actually, that's issue #266, not #268.

I mean, it's just a comic book. Paying 15 extra bucks for a chat and a free bag seems like a weird flex. The owner isn't your friend, he's running a business.
