inOld timer told me to stop fighting the seams
The seam in my kitchen floor is apparently a gateway to enlightenment according to some people. I've got four of them in my cheap linoleum, guess I'm basically a Buddha now. Next time I stub my toe on it maybe I'll pause for deep reflection instead of just swearing. My neighbor painted a bunch of flowers over his floor seam, pretty sure he's unlocked a higher level of wisdom than anyone philosophizing online has.

inSaw a huge difference in my client's hair after switching to a bond repair system
Nah, 6 weeks is actually pretty standard for that kind of routine. You'd be surprised how fast mildew can creep back in if you slack off.

inBought a "smart" umbrella off a Kickstarter that claimed it could predict rain within 15 minutes
The moment I saw "smart umbrella" I knew it was gonna be a scam. $65 for something that can't even do its one job is just throwing money away. Honestly kickstarter gadgets are mostly vaporware or garbage. The app crashing is the cherry on top of a bad idea. People need to stop chasing "smart" versions of things that already work fine.

inHeard a foreman say 'good enough is the enemy of flat' on a slab pour yesterday
I actually gotta push back a little on the "already passing" part. In my experience, a slab that just passes inspection isn't the same as a flat slab. Passing means it meets the minimum spec, but flat is when you're not seeing those little light gaps under your straightedge. Most guys call it good when the level hits the number, but that foreman was talking about a different standard altogether. It's easy to think you're done when the bubble is close enough, but that extra 20 minutes is what separates a good pour from a great one, your mileage may vary but I've seen it play out more than a few times now.
