TIL that cheap espresso machine I bought for $150 is basically a glorified steam toy.
It can't pull a real shot to save its life, just makes bitter, watery messes. Anyone know a decent machine under $300 that actually works?

And that's the thing @sam530 pointed out too. I grabbed a mid-range tablet last year because I was too cheap for an iPad, and now I'm already looking at upgrades because the screen is garbage and it lags on simple stuff. It's like buying the cheap boots that fall apart in six months, costing you more in the long run than just getting the good ones once. Why do we keep falling for that trap? Like, is it just the upfront price that tricks us every time?
