Warning: Don't cheap out on tool holders like I did
I spent $120 on a set of cheap Chinese ER collets off Amazon about 4 months ago. They seemed fine at first but after maybe 50 hours of run time I started getting some serious runout on a critical part. I was chasing a .005 inch tolerance issue for two whole days before I swapped the collet out for a name brand one I had lying around. The runout dropped to basically nothing and the part passed inspection easy. I threw those cheap collets in the scrap bin and ordered a set from MariTool instead. Has anyone else wasted money on budget tooling that ended up costing you more in scrap?

Cheap tooling is just like cheap shoes, you end up paying way more in the long run for your mistake lol.
